DIY Moroccan Oil Challenge for Hair La Vie

Would you believe me if I said you could have a safe all-natural mascara that also helps your eyelashes grow thicker and longer? I wouldn’t believe me either, but it’s totally true.

I was tired of using those cheap drugstore mascaras that leave my eyelashes clumpy. Every Time I went to remove the mascara, I felt like I was removing my lashes too. So when Hair La Vie contacted me about their blogger challenge with their 100 percent pure Moroccan Oil I knew exactly which recipe I wanted to use. Their Moroccan Oil is amazing and had no added fake ingredients. I put it on my fake and use it to remove my makeup

Check out my recipe below and don’t forget to head over to their La Muse Beauty blog to vote for my recipe and sign up for their giveaway.

I love how defined my lashes look with mascara but I just can’t risk losing anymore eyelashes! So I am playing it safe and using a mascara that I know won’t leave me looking like a Muppet.

Everything you will need:

  • 4-5 capsules activated charcoal
  • 3 tsp aloe vera gel
  • 1 tsp Moroccan oil
  • 1/2 tsp beeswax
  • clean mascara container
  • clean jar

Here’s what it will look like all laid out.

First, start by pouring 1 tsp of Moroccan Oil into a jar or bowl, followed ½ tsp of beeswax.

Warm the mixture by putting the jar into a bowl pot or pan and leave for about 10 minutes or until you see the mixture melting into a soft liquid. When it is melted add your 3 tsp of aloe vera gel, mix it up, then follow by adding 4-5 capsules of activated charcoal. You will then see the blended ingredients turn black.

The mascara is ready to be transferred into a mascara container. It is your choice on how you transfer the mascara to the container. I chose to use the top to the Moroccan Oil since it has a dropper attached, which I am in love with.

And there you have it. A quick and easy way to make a mascara. It took me about 20 minutes to make this magic product. My lashes feel so much smoother than using the store bought mascara I had before. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem but I am not scared to get my lashes wet and having the mascara fall in my eyes and BURN me anymore.
