It’s easy to choose your bridal dress and your bouquet compared to choosing a wedding photographer. You can see how the dress looks like but you can’t tell how your photos will look like until they are made. So, you have to dedicate a reasonable amount of time to choose the best wedding photographer, the one that will know how to capture the moment and provide you with many beautiful photos.
Since I’ve been through this process before, I want to help all the brides who are about to choose their photographer. Yeah, I didn’t mentioned grooms as we all know the brides are the ones who make a decision here 🙂 So, here we go!
Compile A List
Make a list of all wedding photographers you know about and ask your family members and friends for referrals. You need to have a list, otherwise you won’t be organized and will miss someone who might be perfect photographer for your wedding.
Visit Their Website
Visit each wedding photographer’s site and check out the photos. Don’t pay attention to the website itself as it doesn’t tell you anything about the photographers work. Determine if the photos you find appeal to you.
Make the call to inquire about the style of photography the photographer specializes in, if he/she is available and then arrange a meeting.
Ask as many questions as you can think of to find out as much as you can about the wedding photographer’s work, how will you be able to choose the pictures, what ideas do they have, what’s the price. etc. After a meeting, you will narrow down your choices to a couple of options only.
Choose A Photographer
Make a commitment with the photographer you feel comfortable with. Choose the one you trust, someone who will not only provide you with quality photos but who can communicate with you openly and who is 100% focused to help you. Once you made the decision, you will feel a lot better as the hardest decision you had to make about your wedding is now behind you.
